A lovely family of three who will be relocating to Parsons Green, London, is seeking a dedicated, highly organized, and proactive nanny/housekeeper. The role blends attentive childcare for their 4-year-old daughter, alongside household management. Their daughter will be attending school full-time. The schedule is still to be determined but will be a guaranteed 40-hours per week, an example could be Monday through Friday with approximately 8-hours per day. This could include housekeeper responsibilities between 11am-3pm and nanny duties between 3pm and 7pm, with a later end to the day on Thursdays for babysitting. There will also be paid additional hours during the school holidays. The ideal candidate will be reliable and professional, looking for a long-term commitment. The position is to start in August.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily afternoon pickups from school
- Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities, assist with early learning and reading, and oversee bedtime routines when required
- Take the child to extracurricular activities
- Keep on top of school communication
- Prepare school uniform and backpacks for the following day
- The role will be more focused on their daughter during school holidays
- Cover babysitting, and occasional overnight stays
- Join the family during travel
- Book any child-related appointments and occasionally take her to these appointments
- Encourage and include their daughter in daily activities to help encourage everyday life skills
Another housekeeper will tend to the full cleaning of the home.
Household Management
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized household daily; wiping down surfaces, load and empty the dishwasher, etc.
- Manage the family laundry, ironing, and organizing of clothes and linens.
- Plan and cook healthy, nutritious meals for the child and occasional meal prep for the parents
- Handle light grocery shopping and restocking of household essentials.
- Collect dry cleaning
- Accept any deliveries
- Oversee any repair workers/contractors
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Nanny/Housekeeper with excellent references.
- Valid DBS check (or willing to undergo one).
- Up to date First Aid certification.
- Fluent English speaker with clear, straightforward communication skills.
- A warm, trustworthy, and organized personality with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Proximity to Parsons Green/Fulham is a strong plus.
