A busy professional mother based in Queen’s Park is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and flexible Nanny/Household Manager/PA to oversee a bustling household. The home includes two independent boys (aged 7 and 9) and a friendly golden retriever. This is a dynamic, hybrid role requiring a sharp eye for detail. The schedule will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The hours will initially be 7am-7.30pm and then from September onwards, 10am-7.30pm, except during school holidays when the schedule would be 8am-7.30pm.
The nanny will be working alongside a Tuesday/Thursday nanny who focuses heavily on childcare, and a cleaner who visits 3–4 days a week. The candidate’s primary objective is to keep the household running like clockwork, manage the family's logistics, and provide dedicated wrap‑around childcare on their rostered days.
Responsibilities- Childcare & Nanny Duties (M, W, F)
- Coordinating after-school activity schedules and managing school pick-ups (shared with the housekeeper, as the boys attend different schools).
- Cooking nutritious dinners for the children and occasionally prepping a simple salad or soup for the mother.
- Overseeing homework, managing the bedtime routine, and providing wrap‑around care.
- Household Management & PA Duties
- Complete organization and rotation of the children's wardrobes.
- Food shopping, meal planning, and ensuring the fridge is organized and stocked.
- Directing the housekeeper and managing daily household tasks (laundry is required; deep cleaning and ironing are handled by the cleaner).
- Booking children's doctor appointments, managing household maintenance contractors, running errands, and purchasing birthday gifts.
- Managing the golden retriever’s schedule, feeding, and arranging vet appointments.
- Travel & Overnight Care
- The mother travels to New York monthly for work. Whoever is on duty (you or the Tu/Th nanny) will be required to stay overnight to provide 24-hour wrap‑around care.
- Accompanying the family on trips, including summer holidays to Devon. Down‑time when the family travels without you will be fully paid.
- Proven track record in a similar hybrid Nanny/PA or House Manager role.
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly proactive, organized, and physically active.
- Genuine ability to accommodate late finishes, overnight stays, and travel.
- Strong cooking skills for children's meals. Being a swimmer is a distinct advantage.
- A confident driver is preferred. A car can be provided for work use, but it is not strictly essential if local logistics are met.
- Must love dogs and have no pet allergies.
- The mother works from home on Fridays, so the candidate must be comfortable working alongside a home‑based employer.
- £20 per hour
- Paid holidays
- Use of a vehicle during working hours if required
