A wonderful family of five is seeking a temporary, part-time nanny to join them during their stay at their home in Regent's Park, London. They have three energetic boys (ages 6, 10, and 13). The candidate will initially be working alongside the mother, who is hands-on and involved. Then, once the children are relaxed and comfortable, the nanny will at times take on an independent role with the younger two children. The schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, and on average 20-30 hours per week, with the exception of the first week which will be 30-40 hours.
Responsibilities
- Your main responsibilities will be caring for the two younger boys; however, you will need to be confident in supporting Mum when the three children are together.
- Taking and collecting the children from summer camps.
- Visiting parks, galleries, and museums.
- Engaging with the children's interests and preferences.
- Light housekeeping relating to the children (laundry, tidying, etc).
- Preparing food for the children and helping with the clearing up afterward.
- Encourage the boys to develop independence by teaching them to tidy up after themselves, assist with post-dinner clean-up, and complete age-appropriate tasks.
- Implement a "firm but fair" approach. They value a nanny who can set clear boundaries while remaining kind and loving.
