A wonderful, welcoming principal seeks a professional, experienced and knowledgeable house manager for her new home in Belgravia. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm, with some flexibility around hours appreciated. You will work closely with the existing team and must bring a supportive, respectful approach to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory of household items, ensuring that all supplies are fully stocked and in good condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure it meets high-quality standards.
  • Work closely with architects and property managers to project manage contractors.
  • Coordinate and oversee ongoing renovations in a neighbouring property, with regular monitoring and walkthroughs, ensuring that approved standards are met.
  • Care for two gorgeous golden retrievers, including twice-daily walking.
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with housekeeper, architect, vendors and contractors.
  • Serve as point-person for household and external contacts.
  • Oversee temporary staff when required.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be very familiar with the local area and should have excellent relationships with vendors, contractors and trades.
  • Candidates should also be fantastic team players, comfortable rolling up their sleeves and being hands-on whenever required.
  • An adaptable and flexible personality is appreciated, as is a service-oriented approach to the role.
  • Please be calm, considerate and polite, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a no task too large or too small frame of mind.
  • Candidates should be polished and professional, able to fit seamlessly into a HNW relatively formal environment.
  • They should also be discreet, trustworthy and extremely good at reading the room.
  • The principal is keen to maintain a refined, respectful and calm environment. Egos are not welcome.
