Overview
A family based in New York but traveling to London, Ireland and France is seeking a nanny who is already in London or France to care for their 1-year-old daughter. The dates of the role can be any time between July 7th-August 4th, they will take the whole month if possible, or a week, or 2-3 weeks during that time period. The family is seeking full-time coverage, there will not be days off but there will be hours off during the days at times and those hours are to be determind. They are seeking flexibility with the dynamic travel schedule and the nanny will be working 7 days/week. Their itinerary will approximately be London, England for a week, West Cork, Ireland for 1 week or so, a few days in Bordeaux/Bayonne/in Biarritz and Cap Ferret, and then a few days in Paris until they depart back to the US. They are open to partial help for the trip. For example, just London/Ireland or just France.
Responsibilities
- Caring for 1 young child, understanding developmental milestones and being playful and engaging with her
- Feeding the child
- Putting the child to bed
- Bathing, grooming, and dressing the child
- Reading to the child
- Being prepared with a \”Mary Poppins\” bag if you will, activities and things to stimulate the child and foster their love of play and learning whilst building a quick rapport with her
- Being energetic and active to keep up with the child
Qualifications
- Speaking English is mandatory, French and/or Russian as well if possible
Requirements
- Able to organize activities and build connection with the child
- Flexibility and able to maturely handle ambiguity or “go with the flow” as the family tends to have an unstructured style. For example, they will be flying privately to and from London to Ireland, but likely they will take the train from London to Paris then to Bordeaux. The candidate to hire needs to be comfortable with this.
- Ability to travel between European countries
Salary and Benefits
- Candidates will be asked to input their daily rate upon applying, but the general range they are seeking is €220-250/day
