The Programme
We are happy to introduce Work Experience Insight Days at British Airways. This is a one-day Work Experience, aiming to inspire the next generation of talent – that’s you! – by giving you a taste of work and the aviation industry.
What does a Work Experience Insight Day look like?
Our Work Experience Insight Days are a way for students to gain first-hand experience of working for British Airways. The day will include activities, Q&A panels, workshops, tours, guest speakers and more!
Our Engineering Work Experience Insight Day
Our engineering teams focus on the behind-the-scenes activity. You can expect to hear from our colleagues on procedures such as an engine change, a structural repair or a complex aircraft inspection. You will also be getting involved in workshops and activities to give you a taste of what is it like to work in Engineering for a global airline.
About You
At British Airways, we look out for your potential and attitude, rather than your experience. We can provide the training and help you develop your skills and knowledge, but you need to have that get up and go, positive attitude that we’re looking for in the airline industry.
Applying for an Insight Day
The British Airways Work Experience Insight Days are aimed at students, either at school or college (not university).
To apply for a Work Experience Insight Day, you must be:
- Year 9/S3 or above
- Have a valid passport
Please ensure if you are successful in your application, that you are willing to travel to Heathrow for the Work Experience Insight Day.
Recruitment Process
- Step 1: You have completed the module on Speedbird Z and completed the project
- Step 2: When you apply via the link below, you must upload your project as part of your application under the \’supporting files\’ tab
- Step 3: We will review all applications for eligibility and will let you know via email the outcome of your application
