The role: PCI Compliance Executive

Join the team that helps keep our customers' payment information secure every day.

Sitting within our Commercial function, you'll play an important role in supporting British Airways' PCI-DSS compliance activities across the business.

Working closely with colleagues in Technology, Cyber, Finance, Legal and operational teams, you'll help ensure the controls, processes and evidence needed to protect cardholder data are in place and working effectively.

What you'll do

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of PCI-DSS controls across the business.
  • Partner with Technology, Cyber and business teams to ensure controls are applied correctly and evidence is maintained.
  • Monitor adherence to PCI requirements, supporting teams with secure handling, storage and transmission of cardholder data.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit activities and support annual PCI assessments.
  • Manage compliance evidence, control documentation and operational records.
  • Carry out regular compliance checks, validations and reconciliations.
  • Work with third-party payment providers and partners to maintain compliance across integrated systems.
  • Identify and elevate compliance gaps, risks or control weaknesses.
  • Support awareness and training activities that help teams understand their PCI responsibilities.
  • Contribute to remediation initiatives and continuous improvement activity.
  • Keep up to date with evolving PCI standards and regulatory requirements, helping stakeholders understand what's changing and why.

Your experience

  • Experience working with business and technology teams in a complex environment.
  • Experience maintaining compliance documentation, evidence collection and supporting audits.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify risks, gaps and process improvements.
  • Experience with PCI-DSS requirements and compliance processes is desirable.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and balancing competing priorities.
  • Ability to work methodically while delivering to deadlines in a structured way.
