Join our dedicated British Airways Health Services (BAHS) team as an Occupational Health Practice Nurse (OHPN), delivering specialist health advice, statutory and non-statutory health assessments, and travel health services to support the well-being of our colleagues. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our airline, ensuring our people remain fit and healthy in a fast-moving aviation environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct health assessments in line with BAHS policies and procedures, interpreting results and taking appropriate action.
  • Provide immunisations and travel health advice using BAHS guidelines and standing instructions.
  • Offer expert advice on occupational health matters, supporting BA staff across various aviation-related health and well-being issues.
  • Work closely with other health professionals and teams across British Airways to promote well-being initiatives.
  • Maintain and manage confidential client information in compliance with BAHS and NMC policies.
  • Lead and contribute to projects that support the evolving health needs of our business.

Your Experience:

  • Registered General Nurse (Adult) – NMC Part 1 qualification. (mandatory)
  • Extensive post-registration experience in an occupational health, travel health, or similar clinical setting.
  • Strong competency in Spirometry, Audiometry, Electrocardiography, and Immunisation techniques.
  • A sound understanding of work processes and environments relating to fitness to work.
  • Practical experience with IT systems, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and databases used for medical record management.

We are looking for experienced, qualified adult nurses with a solid foundation in clinical practice, capable of working autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

Important Role Information:

This role is shift-based and will require onsite working at our Head Office, Waterside, within the British Airways Health Services Clinic. The role is not hybrid, and there may be a requirement for duty travel to Glasgow and other areas as necessary. Interviews will be planned on 6th March 2025.
