Our Loyalty division is home to Avios, the global loyalty currency, enabling millions of members to collect and spend rewards across travel, retail and financial services. Our Holidays division, including British Airways Holidays and Iberia Vacaciones, brings together trusted brands, connecting customers to thousands of destinations worldwide through seamless, end‑to‑end travel experiences.
Join us as a Destination Executive (12‑Month FTC). Take ownership of global hotel partnerships and enhance your buying, negotiation and connectivity expertise in a global brand. At our Holiday division, our Destination Team is at the heart of our success – carefully selecting, sourcing, and developing a diverse global hotel portfolio, that underpins our trusted, world‑renowned brand. We’re looking for a commercially minded and confident Destination Executive to join us on a 12‑month fixed term maternity cover. You will own your destinations end to end and lead negotiations directly. You’ll be the person driving commercial conversations, managing the back‑and‑forth with hotel partners, and securing agreements that deliver value for both sides.
If you’re driven by meaningful partnerships, thoughtful negotiation, managing end‑to‑end commercial performance and product quality, you’ll thrive as part of our team. You’ll enjoy the autonomy to develop your destinations, the support of a highly experienced team, and the buying power of one of the industry’s most prestigious brands.
This opportunity offers real ownership and development:
- Lead your own commercial negotiations, managing the full contracting cycle from proposal through to signed agreement.
- Strengthen your buying and contracting expertise within a respected, globally recognised brand.
- Gain exposure to and develop knowledge of connectivity and distribution systems, expanding your commercial and technical capability.
- Build valuable people management experience and broaden your leadership skills over time.
- Reporting into an experienced Destination Manager, for support and guidance, while maintaining genuine autonomy over your destinations.
- Enhance your CV with experience in a high‑performing, transformation‑focused business.
From boutique hotels to large‑scale resorts, you’ll manage a varied portfolio while working cross‑functionally with Yield, Marketing, Health & Safety and PR. In a business where your voice truly influences decisions, you’ll see the direct commercial impact of your work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute the product supply strategy for your designated destinations.
- With your Destination Manager, oversee the commercial performance of assigned destinations, including data analysis, competitor benchmarking, and inventory management, to maximise results.
- Negotiate and finalise contract terms with hotel partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Build and nurture supplier relationships to unlock new commercial opportunities.
- Ensure every product meets the British Airways Holidays brand promise – from quality to health and safety.
- Present your insights to the Destination team leadership and play a critical role in contributing to the region’s overall success.
- Work collaboratively with our yield, quality, marketing, PR, and other internal teams to maximise all commercial opportunities.
What we need from you:
- Proven experience in product, purchasing, or commercial roles within travel.
- A track record of exceptional account management and supplier relationship building.
- Proven expertise in stakeholder management, combined with effective negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
- You need to be able to manage your partners effectively, both remotely and in person.
- Commercial awareness, planning ability, and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
- Credibility, trustworthiness, and a collaborative approach.
- Clear, confident communication skills – verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Analytical strength with solid Excel proficiency.
- Willingness to travel and represent the brand at events.
- A full UK driving licence – and confidence driving abroad.
- The ability to work from our Crawley office at least twice a week.
Perks that take you places:
- 26 days holiday a year, increasing by one day for every two complete years’ service, to a maximum of 30 days – plus bank holidays.
- With the option to buy or sell 5 more.
- Unlimited standby and premium standby fares for you and your nominees (on the BA network and partner airlines) from day one.
- Holiday and flight discounts for you, friends and family from day one.
- Flexible working hours.
- Annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
- Pension contributions (6% company/3% employee).
- Private medical and dental cover with BUPA.
- Paid options to cover partner and children.
- Enhanced Primary and Co‑Parent Leave.
- Enjoy up to 20 days working in Europe a calendar year under our hybrid working policy.
- Cycle to work scheme.
- Electric/ULEV car scheme.
- Ability to purchase Avios from salary at a discounted rate.
- Wellbeing and recognition programmes to support and celebrate you.
This role will work as part of our Holidays division. Our offices are based in central Crawley and we offer hybrid working (within the UK only).
