The Role
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager with deep expertise in technology recruitment to own and lead technology recruitment, positioning British Airways as an employer of choice for tech talent. You’ll bring specialist market knowledge, advise senior stakeholders, and activate diverse channels and networks to attract the best tech talent—while ensuring our employer brand and candidate experience are second to none.
Key Duties
- Own end-to-end technology recruitment across IT, Digital, Data.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering credible advice on tech talent trends, market conditions, and competitive intelligence.
- Engage candidates credibly, demonstrating deep understanding of technology roles, skills, and market dynamics to build trust and influence decisions.
- Position British Airways as an employer of choice for tech specialists, showcasing our innovation, culture, and career opportunities through every interaction and campaign.
- Develop sourcing plans and innovative search/marketing strategies to attract a broad and diverse community of tech talent, leveraging tech communities, professional networks, niche job boards, and social platforms.
- Champion inclusive hiring practices, embedding diversity and equity throughout the recruitment process.
- Leverage technology and data-driven tools (ATS, sourcing platforms, talent analytics) to optimise sourcing, enhance candidate experience, and drive efficient campaigns.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively—verbally and in writing—to influence stakeholders and engage candidates at all levels.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical tech roles and stay current on emerging technologies/skills to anticipate future workforce needs.
- Manage third-party suppliers and optimise spend through strategic partnerships.
- Continuously review and refresh the recruiting approach to keep pace with a highly competitive, fast-changing tech market.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a successful specialist technology recruiter, either in-house or agency, with a proven track record of sourcing niche tech roles.
- Ability to speak credibly with candidates, understanding technical skills, tools, and market trends.
- Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Proven experience in direct sourcing and activating tech-specific networks and communities.
- Digitally savvy, with expertise in recruitment technology and social media marketing.
- Exceptional communication skills, including clear and persuasive written communication.
- Resilient and agile, able to manage complex campaigns under pressure.
