It's something we've been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world's first international scheduled air service between London and Paris. This originality has been in our blood since day one. It's the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make. We know great things can happen when you're inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways, the sky is never the limit.

The Role: Senior Transformation Manager. At British Airways, transformation means helping the organisation move forward with purpose. As a Senior Transformation Manager, you'll step into a role that brings clarity to complex challenges and momentum to meaningful change. You'll work side‑by‑side with teams across the business, shaping improvements that are both practical and long-lasting. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving problems, building strong relationships, and turning ideas into impactful results.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex transformation initiatives involving multiple directorates and senior stakeholders.
  • Work with leaders to confirm priorities, agree intended benefits, and guide change from early analysis through to implementation.
  • Use data, insight, and structured thinking to understand business problems and recommend practical, evidence-based solutions.
  • Lead teams through the testing of new ideas, using workshops, prototypes, and pilots to assess what works in real settings.
  • Support the adoption of changes by ensuring teams are set up to work in new ways and can maintain improvements over time.
  • Provide oversight on planning, risk, scope, and resource decisions to keep work focused and outcomes clearly defined.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation and provide senior stakeholders with clear, timely updates that support action and accountability.

What You'll Bring To British Airways:

  • A confident and practical approach to working on complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain your thinking clearly.
  • Experience working across large teams and organisational boundaries.
  • A strong focus on results and the ability to balance speed with long-term impact.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to get stuck in to make progress.

Your Experience:

  • Experience in delivering strategic change is essential.
  • Experience working in large, matrixed organisations across multiple teams.
  • Project management / consultancy experience is desirable.
  • A good understanding of business impact and financial principles.
  • A degree is helpful but not essential if you have the right experience.

We're currently recruiting for a number of transformation roles: choose this one if:

  • You're passionate about seeing a project through from inception to delivery.
  • You thrive in roles where you can unblock bottlenecks, align people, and keep momentum high.
  • You want a role with real ownership where your work directly accelerates transformation happening across the business.

What We Offer:

We believe that all the people who work with us should feel valued for the part they play. It's one of the reasons our rewards go far beyond a competitive salary. From the day you join us, you'll get access to brilliant staff travel benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights. You'll also receive up to 30 discounted 'Hotline' airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family.

At British Airways, you'll have the chance to take on new challenges and move forward in a way that feels right for you. We encourage all those who work for us to consider opportunities right across our business to help you develop and progress. We never stand still, and we don't expect our people to either.

Inclusion & Diversity:

At British Airways, we all have a part to play in creating an inclusive place to work. Diverse representation among our people is really important to us and we recognise that all our colleagues are uniquely different and bring their own originality, creativity and identity to work. Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we're committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves.
