About the role: In this role, you would be reporting to the Head of Communications and lead IAG Cargo's internal communications channels, which include events, global intranet, digital screens and content management to support a diverse range of communication initiatives. As the owner of our channels, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and you will play a pivotal role in connecting our people to purpose, values and strategy, you will relish in the opportunity to create engaging content, have a comprehensive understanding of the digital communications landscape and deliver an ambitious channel strategy.
What you'll do:
- Channel ownership and strategy: Own and manage communication activity across a full range of internal channels, including print materials, email campaigns, digital signage, mobile apps, collaboration platforms (e.g. Teams, SharePoint), and face-to-face engagement. Ensure that messaging is clear, inclusive, and tailored to diverse colleague groups across the business.
- Intranet: Own the intranet platform, including backend content management. Design and implement content and channel strategies that drive colleague interaction, improve user experience, and reinforce business priorities through clear and consistent storytelling.
- Content development and storytelling: Curate and develop compelling content that brings our culture to life, identifying and sharing stories that spotlight our people, celebrate successes, and reinforce business priorities. Deliver a range of content including employee newsletters, articles, key messaging frameworks, Q&A packs, leadership briefings, and proactive internal campaigns aligned to business strategy. Use data and insight to assess effectiveness, monitor engagement and improve how we communicate over time. Introduce innovative formats and creative treatments to elevate communication and visual identity across channels. Stay informed on industry trends and employee engagement practices.
- Strategic advisor: Be a trusted advisor to senior leaders and cross-functional teams to develop and shape internal communication plans for major business projects, and operational rollouts. Provide expert advice on messaging, timing, and audience segmentation to ensure clarity and impact.
- Event Leadership: Own and deliver the logistics for central colleague events, including the Leadership Forum, Quarterly Business Briefings, and our annual internal recognition awards. This includes end-to-end logistics, leading the agenda, shaping the narrative, creating content and materials, and post-event evaluation to ensure a seamless and engaging colleague experience.
- Agency Management: Liaise with external agencies to ensure brand consistency and high-quality content across all internal touchpoints. Introduce innovative approaches to messaging and visual design, drawing on industry best practice and emerging trends in colleague engagement.
- Measurement: Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communication activity, using data, feedback, and analytics to assess reach, engagement, and impact. Produce regular reports and propose actionable improvements to continuously refine content and channel performance.

Skilled in developing and delivering communications to support a wide range of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and consistent messaging across multiple channels. Collaborative team player with the confidence and capability to work independently; a self-motivated, proactive individual with a strong sense of ownership and a hands-on approach. Creative and innovative communicator, digitally confident and adept at using modern tools and platforms to deliver best-in-class communication experiences.
