Currently, British Airways has an exciting opportunity open for an HR Generalist. This position will be based at New York (hybrid). The base salary range for this position is $98,627 - $120,544 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
As an HR Generalist, you’ll be a trusted first‑line People expert—providing accurate HR guidance, managing data, and ensuring colleagues receive timely, high‑quality support. You’ll work across a broad range of HR activities, from process optimisation and compliance reporting to benefits administration and HR systems management.
You will play a key role in:
- Providing consistent, high‑quality HR support on policies, processes and systems
- Advising and guiding managers and colleagues, ensuring queries are resolved at first contact whenever possible
- Managing HR systems and digital records, including ADP, to keep colleague lifecycle data accurate and compliant
- Preparing compliance reports and supporting legislative, regulatory and CBA‑related obligations
- Monitoring vendor interfaces and escalating issues where needed
- Supporting daily queries related to Payroll, Benefits and Retirees
- Acting as a key contact for benefits administration, including Workers’ Compensation, 401k, Pension, Leaves and Life Insurance
- Maintaining union‑related records including seniority lists, job bids and pay calendars
- Assisting with immigration and international assignment processes
- Contributing to continuous improvement and process‑enhancement initiatives

- Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Experience working with HRIS platforms, ideally ADP
- Knowledge of employment law, data protection, and confidentiality requirements
- Experience managing benefits programmes
- Strong reporting, data analysis and HR administration skills
