Join our Finance and Transformation team at British Airways, the engine room behind the decisions that keep our airline flying high! You will shape and strengthen the control environment of an elite brand operating across a global airline.
What You’ll Do
- Drive and continuously improve BA’s financial control framework so it remains robust, fit for purpose and aligned to business processes.
- Partner with senior leaders and IAG to implement group control requirements, while reporting control performance and key risks to leadership and the Board.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and IT to strengthen controls across finance systems and support delivery of key control initiatives.
- Own the monitoring and resolution of external audit, internal audit and other compliance actions, ensuring issues are addressed and governance standards are upheld.
- Supervise and improve business‑wide controls, including employee approval authority frameworks, while supporting training and audit activity.

Your Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in a complex business, audit or controls role.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and audit processes.
- Experience working with IT on finance systems.
- Familiarity with SAP, BWise or Surecloud (desirable).
- Proven stakeholder management skills.
