The role of Corporate Affairs Executive is an exciting opportunity to join British Airways’ Corporate Affairs team, the voice of our airline. We’re the storytellers and reputation guardians, shaping how the world sees British Airways. From colleague communications to media relations, public affairs and social media, we ensure our messages are clear, impactful and aligned with our strategic priorities. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our communications, helping to deliver campaigns and events that inspire pride, build trust and strengthen our brand. What You’ll Do
- Support delivery of work across all Corporate Affairs teams, aligned with departmental plans.
- Write high-quality, accurate and well-researched stories for internal and external audiences.
- Assist in creating and delivering internal and external communications campaigns.
- Support planning and execution of events such as colleague roadshows, forums, town halls, media events and press conferences.
- Help identify stories that evidence our strategic objectives.
- Draft briefs for senior leaders ahead of events or speaking opportunities.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and engagement activities.
- Publish content across internal channels and maintain the press office media centre.
- Generate ideas for engaging content and monitor internal and external channels for user-generated content.
- Participate in out-of-hours on-call rosters and provide crisis communications support when required.
What You’ll Bring To British Airways
- You’ll bring strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work at pace, make sound judgments and deliver high-quality outputs.
- A creative mindset and passion for storytelling and content generation are essential, as well as excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
- You’ll have an awareness of the news agenda and current affairs, and be proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Viva Engage.
- Above all, you’ll demonstrate a positive attitude, attention to detail, resilience under pressure, flexibility and the ability to build strong relationships.
