The role: Join our People team at British Airways as an Inclusion & Diversity Manager. You will create meaningful change by leading the implementation of our I&D vision and improving diversity across Aviation from Pilots and Cabin Crew to Engineers, while embracing the opportunities ahead of us. Working with senior stakeholders, you will deliver initiatives that strengthen inclusion and representation across the airline. We are looking for someone who is innovative, highly collaborative, and able to turn ambition into measurable progress.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive the delivery of British Airways’ Inclusion & Diversity strategy, ensuring clear alignment with business priorities and transformation goals.
- Partner with senior stakeholders and the People team to embed Inclusion & Diversity across the colleague lifecycle, from recruitment through to development and retention.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of I&D initiatives, from scoping and design through to implementation and impact evaluation.
- Use data and insights to identify focus areas, track progress against KPIs, and support evidence-based decision making.
- Manage governance, reporting, and regulatory requirements, including pay gap reporting and external benchmarking.
- Coach and influence leaders to drive behavioural change and create a more inclusive and accountable culture.

Your experience:
Essential criteria:
- Proven experience operating as an Inclusion & Diversity practitioner within a complex, matrixed organisation, translating strategy into practical interventions.
- Strong understanding of UK equality legislation and regulatory considerations (e.g. Equality Act 2010), with the ability to apply this confidently and pragmatically in a business context.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse quantitative and qualitative data to diagnose issues, identify root causes and inform targeted, evidence-based interventions.
- Experience influencing, coaching and challenging stakeholders at different levels to drive behavioural change and embed conscious inclusion.
- Strong project management capability, with experience delivering multiple initiatives simultaneously from scoping through to evaluation of impact.
- Ability to deliver clear, engaging and credible presentations to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Experience using insight and feedback from colleagues (e.g. engagement data, listening exercises, focus groups) to inform and refine I&D activity.
- High levels of curiosity, learning agility and personal commitment to Inclusion & Diversity, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience working within a highly regulated or operationally complex environment (e.g. aviation, transport, engineering or similar).
- Experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau to present insights and track progress across business areas or geographies.
- Experience embedding I&D into core people processes such as recruitment, performance, talent, learning, wellbeing, policy, property or accessibility.
- Experience managing or contributing to I&D governance, reporting or assurance processes.
