As a Cyber Analyst, you’ll work within Cyber Threat & Risk to help British Airways identify, understand and respond to cyber threats, while assessing and managing cyber risk across the organisation. This is a hands-on analytical role. You’ll work closely with Cyber Threat Leads, Risk Analysts and a wide range of stakeholders, producing threat intelligence, supporting incident response, assessing risk, and maintaining accurate, actionable cyber risk information.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyse and create cyber threat intelligence products and disseminate them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support Cyber Threat Leads during incident response, ensuring accurate timelines, decisions and communications are captured.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining incident response runbooks to support consistent and repeatable response.
  • Support post-incident analysis and lessons-learnt activities.
  • Produce and analyse cyber risk assessments to support risk-based decision-making.
  • Support the management and maintenance of the Cyber and IT Risk Log.
  • Work closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers.
  • Create dashboards and reports to support prioritisation, communication and decision-making.
  • Advise stakeholders on risk management and risk reduction.
  • Support cyber awareness and risk culture initiatives.

  • Strong hands-on analytical capability with attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with data, documentation and dashboards.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
  • Clear communication skills, able to explain complex topics to varied audiences.
  • Inquisitive, curious mindset with a desire to understand how systems and threats operate.
  • Proactive, outcome-focused approach to work.
  • Collaborative working style across technical and non-technical teams.

Your experience:

  • Experience producing formal documentation such as reports, assessments or hypotheses.
  • Demonstrable interest in cyber security, technology and how systems interact.
  • Some exposure to cyber security frameworks or standards is desirable.
  • Experience working in analytical, investigative or risk-focused roles is beneficial.
  • Passion for aviation or the transport industry is an advantage.
