The role: Engineering Project Management Office (PMO) Lead. Supporting delivery of the Engineering Cabin programme portfolio within the BA Roadmap, including the scoping and mobilisation, ongoing cadence and governance, risk and issue process, change requests, dependency management and resource management.
What you’ll do:
- Drive successful delivery of Engineering portfolios, programmes, and projects.
- Establish and maintain governance, including reviews, reporting, and decision tracking.
- Define clear roles and accountabilities aligned with Engineering outputs.
- Manage stakeholders effectively across internal and external groups.
- Develop and apply consistent frameworks and methodologies for programme management.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies; elevate when necessary.
- Report portfolio/programme status, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Oversee prioritisation and change control, assessing impacts and recommending actions.
- Promote PMO best practices, agile adoption, and continuous process improvement.
- Conduct health checks and provide quality assurance on PMO elements.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- PMO qualification (P3O) is desirable.
- Agile methodology (SAFe) and Lean Portfolio Management are desirable.
- Degree qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Professional Project Management accreditation is desirable e.g. APMP/Prince.
- Business understanding (Essential).
