The role: Cyber Product Owner – Protect
The Cyber Product Owner for Protect will have responsibility for ensuring our systems are well protected from cyber-attack. Working closely with BA colleagues, the BA Cyber Team and GroupTech you’ll create product visions, strategies and roadmaps, you’ll have a strong domain understanding and define requirements and KPI’s for the products you own.
What you’ll do:
- Provide technical cyber leadership across all of BA’s defensive cyber security products. This includes m365, CrowdStrike, Defender, Snyk,ForcePoint.
- Produce product visions, strategies and roadmaps aligned with ourGroup and in support of new and emerging use cases from the BA
business. - Evaluating, implementing, and communicating new protective tools and features to improve our security posture whilst supporting, consulting, and measuring the performance of new and existing tools.
- Create and maintain reference architectures, patterns and guidance for BA’s security products. Develop hardening standards and configuration baselines for security tools.
- Lead cyber reviews to ensure that our security tools work together to provide integrated layers of defence and a consistent level of protection globally.
- Support the BA Cyber Delivery Assurance Lead’s, acting as a subject matter expert on all things related to protective tooling.
- Engage proactively with BA colleagues to understand where our tools cause friction or frustration. Work to reduce these, placing user experience front and centre.
- Work with our security vendors to maximise utilisation of our tooling and solutions to achieve the best possible value for money.
- Effectively communicate, reason and influence stakeholders across BA and GroupTech to drive adoption of security tools, and proactive consumption of standards and patterns.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Highly analytical, demonstrating a methodical and structured approach with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator, taking complex technical issues and making them approachable to all stakeholders
- Ability to review and security reference architectures, patterns and guidance.
- Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of strategic business goals and objectives.
- Keen to learn new technologies.
Your experience:
- Strong technical security skills related to endpoint, cloud and infrastructure security products, in particular Microsoft M365 E5 Suite.
- Experience with cloud, endpoint, and infrastructure securityproducts. (Desirable – m365, Lacework, Snyk, Defender, ForcePoint).
- Recognised cyber security certifications or qualifications desirable.
- Offensive security experience, penetration testing etc. desirable.
- Proven track record of providing successful support in the field and of enabling and facilitating a culture of continual improvement
