The role: Customer Service Clerk - Part Time

Provide excellent customer service to BA customers at the airport by displaying BA Brand Behaviours and service hallmarks. Ensure delivery of seamless customer experience while delivering functions including check in, arrivals and departures.

What you’ll do:

  • Work in a multi-functional and dynamic environment.
  • Be fully conversant with all aspects of service delivery functions including check in of departing customers, receiving customers on arrival and handling mishandled baggage process.
  • Be an active team member positively promoting the BA image.
  • Deliver BA products in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Liaise with third parties efficiently.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the safety and security procedures and standards of British Airways.
  • Assist customers in the event of delays and disruptions by proactive communication and interaction.
  • Effectively deal with overbooking including offloading and downgrading by offering alternates.
  • Be conversant with handling of revenue, revenue documents like excess baggage and Airport Upgrade apart from reservations, fares and ticketing procedures and generation of ticket sales.
  • Operate efficiently in a highly pressurised environment.
  • Become conversant with all relevant procedures/formalities.
  • Project BA professional image at all times.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Graduate with evidence of above average academic and extra curricular achievement.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • A real awareness of the role of Customer Service function.
  • Fluency in local language is desirable.
