The role:

Clinical Nurse Lead

We're looking for a Clinical Nurse Lead to join British Airways Health Services and lead a team of nurses and Occupational Health Technicians, ensuring a consistent approach to clinical care, governance and professional standards. This role combines people leadership with hands-on involvement in clinical services, supporting colleagues, overseeing standards and helping the team deliver the best possible care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead,supportand develop a team of nurses and Occupational Health Technicians, providing guidance,coachingand day-to-day leadership.
  • Develop and review clinical policies,proceduresand ways of working, ensuring services meet clinical and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with outsourced providers and internal teams tomaintainhigh standardsof care across all clinical services.
  • Monitor clinical standards through audits, reviews and benchmarking activities,taking actionwhere improvements are needed.
  • Support service development, workforce planning and the introduction ofnew approachesthat improve how care is delivered across the team.

  • Good judgement and decision-making skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high clinical standards.
  • A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external providers.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Registered General Nurse – NMC Part 1(essential).
  • Minimum 2 years post registration experience(essential).
  • Up to date travel health knowledge.
  • Competent in Spirometry, Audiometry,Electrocardiographyand immunisation techniques.
  • Good understanding of work processes and environments relating to fitness to work.
  • Providingtelephone health advice to colleagues.
  • Thorough understanding of clinical governance,accreditationand compliance(essential).
  • Experienced in the development and mentoring of less experienced colleagues to ensure excellent standards(desirable).
