The role:

Lead Auditor

Salary: £51,000-£56,000

To be responsible for the completion of oversight activity in accordance with the approved Performance-based audit schedule. To lead audits providing guidance to postholders/third parties where appropriate in support of continuous improvement in Air Operations and/or CAMO area when needed.

What you\’ll do:

  • Monitor compliance with industry regulation, including UK Law 965-2012 Air Ops and Part CAMO & Part M, IATA, and Safety and Security regulations. Also, monitor compliance against BAEF Operations manuals and procedures, Airworthiness manuals, and procedures, BAEF Safety and Security systems, and other company documentation.
  • Perform and coordinate all aspects of audit/inspection oversight activity in a Lead Auditor role or individually for Air Operations and/or CAMO functions, including planning scope, preparing checklists, and ensuring completion through to closure.
  • Manage audit findings and ensure closure within a timely manner, monitoring progress of corrective actions to ensure accurate root cause analysis and effective preventative actions.
  • Assist/host external audits where required and coordinate responses to any non-compliance identified.
  • Support IAG group auditors with compliance monitoring functions and inquiries.
  • Support the Compliance Department in providing independent oversight of subcontracted and contracted Part CAMO, Part-M, Air Operations, Ground Operations, and Part 145 activities.
  • Lead and/or assist company safety investigations.
  • Review SAFA/SANA reports and manage coordinated responses to the appropriate authority.
  • Support the compliance department in developing the Compliance Management System to ensure continued compliance and encourage continual improvement.

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Flexible to travel within the UK and overseas.

  • Grade C Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
  • Auditor qualification
  • Lead Auditor qualification (Desirable)
  • Part CAMO (regulations oversight course) (Desirable)
  • MEDA/Safety Investigators Qualification (Desirable)
