The role:

BA Euroflyer – CAMO Technical Engineer

To ensure the completion of all applicable urgent regulator and manufacturer requirements and non-mandatory modifications on the BA Euroflyer aircraft and engines, coordinating with the subcontracted maintenance organization to support the fleet\’s continued airworthiness.

What you’ll do:

  1. Review recommendations from subcontracted engineering organizations, evaluate and approve technical documentation to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
  2. Supervise urgent and non-mandatory modifications, including disassembly and scope of work during workshop visits.
  3. Support technical decision-making within the subcontracted engineering team and across departments, leading technical discussions with expertise and business considerations.
  4. Maintain technical standards, policies, and strategic direction, including assessing the impact of future legislation.
  5. Act as a technical and airworthiness consultant for BA Euroflyer with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and regulators.
  6. Manage relationships with engineering and maintenance suppliers to meet service levels and cost targets.
  7. Oversee fleet reliability, monitor technical performance, and develop improvement plans to meet performance targets.
  8. Lead or support technical investigations aligned with safety management processes.
  9. Report, present, and communicate operational performance, engineering activities, and significant events to senior stakeholders effectively.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Knowledge of business, regulatory, and operational environments.
  • Excellent communication skills adaptable to all levels.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
  • Understanding of regulations including EASA Part M, Part 145, and Part 21.
  • Project management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in report writing and business case development with commercial awareness.

Your experience:

  • Experience in a technical or airworthiness management role.
  • Practical knowledge of aircraft certification, technical support, and maintenance.
  • Experience seeking continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Experience with Airbus aircraft and documentation.
  • Experience working in low-cost airline operations.
  • Knowledge of CAA Part-M, Part 145, and Part 21 requirements.
  • Familiarity with scheduled maintenance planning activities.
