BA Euroflyer was launched in 2022, serving a short-haul network of some of Europe's most popular destinations from London's Gatwick Airport. The role involves the management of the LGW Operating Model Transformation project and any other sub-projects which relate to it. The aim is to successfully deliver the defined business objectives, using a consistent approach and governance structure, on time, to budget and with the agreed scope and quality.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver all project management activities for the assigned Gatwick Transformation project, ensuring smooth transition into operational steady state and embedding continuous improvement practices.
- Ensure delivery meets agreed specifications, timelines, and budget, while complying with all internal governance and control requirements.
- Plan and manage all aspects of the project, including scheduling, financial oversight and stakeholder management.
- Identify and manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish and maintain clear financial criteria and governance structures specific to the project.
- Build strong relationships with key Gatwick, BA & IAG stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and partner to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Define resource requirements and manage allocation to meet project objectives.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Communicates clearly and effectively at all levels (written and verbal), with strong influencing and expectation management skills.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects across functions and directorates; experience with long term programmes desirable.
- Skilled in motivating and collaborating with individuals and teams in a matrix environment.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and structured in approach.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, cost, and scope commitments.
- Strong project management expertise, including budget, schedule, and scope control.
- Proficient in risk identification, mitigation planning, and contingency management.
- Makes fact-based decisions within defined parameters and challenges the status quo with well-structured, evidence-driven arguments.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship management, both internal and external.
- Experienced in supplier and contract management, including negotiation.
- Committed to continuous improvement and delivering business outcomes in a customer-focused setting.
Your experience:
- Professional Programme Management accreditation (e.g. MOP, MSP, PMP, P3O or Prince 2) preferred.
- Degree qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Agile methodology (SAFe) desirable.
- Aviation experience preferred.
