The role: Flight Technical Services Executive

Salary: £38,810 - £43,000 per annum.

You will be part of Flight Technical Services team within Air Operations. The team sits at the heart of the airline, providing the technical, performance & operational support that enables crew to operate the aircraft safely, compliantly, and efficiently every day. Flight Technical Services plays a critical role in translating regulatory requirements, aircraft data, and operational constraints into practical tools and guidance used on the line.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Flight Technical Services Manager in delivering a safe, compliant, and efficient Embraer operation
  • Maintain aircraft technical and operational documentation across onboard and digital libraries
  • Manage navigation, performance, and charting data, including AIRAC cycle updates
  • Support the development and day‑to‑day use of EFB and aircraft performance systems
  • Maintain fleet weight and balance electronic records
  • Support flight planning activities, including new routes and charter operations
  • Assist with airport and route evaluations alongside technical pilots
  • Manage company notices and operational manual updates
  • Investigate and manage safety reports directed to the department
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers on operational tasks and projects

What you’ll bring to BA Cityflyer:

  • Sound understanding of aircraft performance, weight & balance, and flight operations processes
  • Ability to interpret NOTAMs, weather information, and operational data, with strong attention to detail
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team player, able to manage priorities and work with minimal supervision when required to
  • A reliable team player who is approachable and professional

Your experience:

  • Experience working in Flight Operations, Flight Dispatch, or a similar operational aviation environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge or practical experience of aircraft performance, weight and balance
  • Ability to read and interpret NOTAMs, weather briefings, and other navigation data
  • Familiarity with aircraft operational and navigation documentation
  • Experience working in a regulated, safety‑critical environment
  • Proven ability to manage workload, work autonomously when required, and collaborate within a team
  • Ability to hold and maintain an airside pass
