The role: A-Licence Aircraft Technician – Terminal 5 – Line Maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Completion of maintenance tasks, rectification of defects including component changes within the scope of appropriate Authorisation as defined in British Airways Engineering Quality Procedures.
- Shall issue a CRS or Sign-Off as applicable for maintenance carried out.
- Support Planning by ensuring completion of tasks to agreed time scales.
- Maintain a safe working environment through adherence to quality, health and safety and housekeeping standards.
- Support the delivery of departmental and directorate objectives in line with company hallmarks working flexibly to support maintenance activities that may include transporting, positioning and delivering components, material and equipment.
The qualifications:
- Good knowledge of engineering procedures and technical documentation and ability to comprehend technical publications.
- Highly self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Good Prioritisation, planning and organisation.
- Technical decision making.
- Applicant shall hold a CAA 66 Cat A or Cat B licence.
- Valid full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
- Ability to hold airport restricted zone access (essential for Terminal based role).
- Ability to hold an airside driving licence.
- Successful applicants must attain either A3 or A4 type qualifications relevant to their work area.
- Ability to hold Cat3 / HGV driving permit (desirable).
- Ability to carry out aircraft headset functions.

Shift pattern: The shifts offered will either be 2 Days/2 Nights or 4 Nights, depending on the business requirements.
