Earlier this year, we expanded our maintenance capability with the opening of British Airways Engineering Gatwick. We’re now looking to build on the strong foundation established by our talented team there and further develop the site to include Winter Airbus Heavy Maintenance operations within this impressive facility.

The role: Shift Manager

Supporting the Operations and Operations Support teams to deliver BAEG development plans over the next 12 months.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide a safe working environment, drive and maintain safe and secure working practices with professional standards of work and housekeeping.
  • Deliver shift performance on quality and safety, operational and customer, financial and commercial, and colleagues.
  • Enable, empower and embed continuous improvement that delivers value added change.
  • Ensure Technical, Quality and Airmanship standards of the Production team.
  • Ensure good engineering practice is constantly delivered ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and processes.

What you will bring to BAEG:

  • Uncompromising in safety, security, process and regulatory requirements.

Your Experience:

  • Demonstrable structured leadership or equivalent experience.
  • An Engineering Degree, or other equivalent qualification or Aircraft Maintenance B1/B2 Licence.
  • Airbus Heavy Maintenance Experience.
