The role: An opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer, operating within the Engineering Support Team (EST), to create, develop and implement plans and strategies to both optimise and enhance maintenance input processes, efficiency and effectiveness. The Planning Engineer creates and project manages plans to deliver aircraft checks safely, in compliance, on budget and on time.

What you'll do:

  • Management and communication of the project plans to EST, customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Accept customer work packages and produce a project plan that maximises aircraft delivery to schedule and use of resources.
  • Monitoring progress, re-planning and scheduling additional work throughout aircraft input.
  • Improve workflow, productivity, and quality through Production Control of work in progress.
  • Support the 24-hour maintenance operation; the Planning Engineer must be prepared to work unsocial hours and be on call as part of the BAMG technical management community.

Your experience:

  • HNC/ HND/ Degree or equivalent in an approved Engineering subject, or a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations, including Part-M, Part-CAMO, Part-21 and Part-145.
  • Knowledge of maintenance programs, technical reliability and condition monitoring tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of safety and quality management systems.
  • Working knowledge of engineering processes and procedures.
