This is an exciting time to join BA Cityflyer's Operations Control Centre (OCC) as a Flight Planning Controller. This role supports the flying programmes of both BA Cityflyer and BA Euroflyer from our hubs at London City and London Gatwick, serving some of the most desirable European destinations.

This role involves an initial training period based at British Airways Head office, Waterside, close to London Heathrow. Once completed, your primary location will be Didsbury.
What you'll do:
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Controllers, analysing BA Cityflyer and BA Euroflyer flight plans.
- Focus on adjusting flight plans to maximise efficiency and reduce delays.
- React with agility to the complications of an operational environment such as airspace changes, industrial action and other ATC issues.
What you'll bring to BA Cityflyer:
- Excellent communication skills in a busy OCC environment.
- Knowledge of aircraft operations, air traffic and airline operating procedures.
- A sound understanding of weather systems and how these affect aviation operations.
- Prior formal training or qualification such as FAA or Jeppesen Dispatch Licence.
- An ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
- An open mind and a desire to continuously seek opportunities to improve processes.
Your experience:
- Previous experience in Flight Planning.
- Experience of using CFMU NOP Portal and NATS Customer Portal.
- Experience in handling the complexities of an operational environment.
- Thorough knowledge of LIDO 4D.
- Knowledge of aeronautical data and related navigation charts.
- Familiarity with MS systems such as SharePoint and Teams.
