It's something we've been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world's first international scheduled air service between London and Paris. This originality has been in our blood since day one. It's the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues. So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make. We know great things can happen when you're inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The role: Resource Delivery Manager. At British Airways, a strong plan is only the starting point - it's how we deliver it that keeps the operation running. Within our Operations Planning directorate, we're responsible for translating workforce plans, rosters and training schedules into real-time operational performance. As a Resource Delivery Manager, you'll lead on this - managing live deployment, responding to on-the-day challenges and making critical decisions to keep the operation running safely and smoothly.

Planning or Delivery - what's the difference? We have opportunities across both, and here's the key difference:

  • Resource Planning is about building the plan - using data to forecast demand, create rosters and prepare ahead of time.
  • Resource Delivery is about running the plan - deploying people in real time, responding to disruption and keeping the operation moving on the day.

This role sits within Resource Delivery and focuses on real-time operational performance, leading teams and managing risk in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver short-term, data-driven resource and training plans with accurate handover to operational teams.
  • Lead and manage a team, driving performance through clear KPIs, SLAs and quality standards.
  • Monitor real-time risks and resource gaps, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation.
  • Use systems and data to support decision-making, resolve issues and improve delivery processes.
  • Work closely with Planning teams and stakeholders to ensure aligned, effective delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement through insight, reporting and process enhancements.
  • Support operational delivery during disruption, including out-of-hours when required.

What you'll bring to British Airways:

  • Strong leadership capability, with the ability to coach, develop and performance-manage teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with confidence engaging at all levels across the business.
  • Strong analytical mindset, leveraging data, systems and AI-driven insights to interpret real-time information, assess risks and make informed operational decisions.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a drive to continuously improve processes, efficiency and colleague experience.
  • High levels of organisation and resilience, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • A strong sense of accountability, ensuring delivery is accurate, controlled and aligned to operational and commercial objectives.

Your experience:

  • Able to hold an airside pass - Essential.
  • Proven experience in resource delivery or operational deployment, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Essential.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, embedding performance standards and driving consistent delivery - Essential.
  • Confident working with planning and delivery systems, supporting issue resolution, testing and compliant system usage - Desirable.
  • Experience working with operational stakeholders, Trade Union partners and third-party suppliers - Desirable.
  • Able to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and control - Essential.
