B1 Licenced Aircraft Engineer - UK CAA Part 66 B1. Join our close-knit line maintenance team whereby you’ll be delivering precision engineering on a modern Embraer fleet. You’ll thrive at London City Airport, a fast-paced environment shaped by short runways, steep approaches, and high-frequency ops. Gain broad exposure across scheduled and reactive maintenance in a uniquely compact urban hub. Be part of an operation that values training, innovation, and regulatory excellence.
What you’ll do: In this role, you’ll be responsible for the routine servicing and defect rectification of our Embraer E190 fleet, operating in one of the most unique and challenging airport environments in Europe. You’ll also play a key role in AOG recovery and help maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performance operation in a fast-paced setting where precision and teamwork are everything.
What you’ll bring to BA Cityflyer: You’ll be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of current CAA Part 145 procedures, flexible in your approach to meet our operational challenges at London City Airport and across the network using some of the latest technology.
Your experience:
- UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence with one type rating held
- Ability to hold an airport restricted pass and hold an airside driving permit
- Experience with both scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Current Embraer 190 type rating is desirable; however, type training will be provided to successful candidates.

- Shift pattern: 5-5-4 shift pattern, guaranteed 2 weekends off per month (day and night or permanent nights)
