An opportunity has arisen for a Materiel Supplier to ensure the receipt, storage and distribution of aircraft materials/tooling meet the operational and maintenance requirements. Based at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow, the Materiel Supplier is accountable for processing materials and tooling as well as related documentation to meet the required regulatory standard, distributing accordingly to meet both scheduled and urgent deliveries.

What you’ll do:

  • Transact aircraft materials in accordance with the current technical procedures and processes.
  • Deliver, move and distribute materials/tools.
  • Ensure good storekeeping practices and quality standards are always maintained.
  • Responsible for compliance with health and safety, environment and quality legislation ensuring that safe working practices are followed at all times.
  • Maintain stock accuracy via cyclic audit process.
  • Provide expertise in relation to Dangerous Goods & Road Transportation regulations (where relevant IATA/ADR course certification/knowledge is held).
  • Receipt aircraft materials into BAMG in accordance with the privileges granted under approval of being an MIA stamp holder (in circumstances where deemed to be required by the business and an individual holds an MIA stamp).

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • IT literate and the ability to learn the systems required for role.
  • Ability to understand and deliver to operational targets.
  • Ability to work a shift pattern.

Your Experience:

  • National 5 Qualifications (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Full UK driving licence, category B for manual transmissions (minimum of 12 months driving experience with a full licence).
  • Already hold or ability to qualify for an Airside pass.
  • Already hold or ability to obtain an Airside Driving Permit (with training).
  • Already hold or ability to acquire a Counter Balance forklift licence (with training).
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Good and Road Transport regulations (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain logistics (desirable).
