British Airways Engineering Wales is home to British Airways Maintenance Cardiff's world class engineering team, and we would like to welcome applications for Facilities Assistant role within our Facilities team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a hugely skilled and experienced team.

The role is varied and will allow the opportunity to work alongside the Facilities Manager, LT members ensuring all matters relating to Facilities, health & safety are achieved. You will be responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in all facility management and service partner related functions. Working in the impressive purpose-built Aircraft Maintenance facility located on Cardiff Airport, you'll be an integral part of BAMC's Facilities team, working closely with all internal departments and the interface between all service partners at British Airways Engineering.

We are looking for a person with the opportunity to develop their career into Facilities Management and who can demonstrate:

  • Utilise best business practices to identify opportunities to reduce operating cost.
  • Financial and budget management skills.
  • Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility.
  • Contract management (security, catering and building maintenance).
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft office tools in order to generate practical reports and databases.

  • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (or equivalent).
  • IOSH working safely (or equivalent).
  • The ability to liaise with business Managers to provide ad-hoc services to meet operational needs.
  • Oversee waste management process ensuring compliance with waste management regulations and corporate goals.
  • Collate and analyse FM related data to support business strategic goals and measures.
  • Project management experience to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
