The Role: Engineering Materials Controller
Salary: £38,819 – £43,000 per annum
Working within the BA Cityflyer Operations Control Centre (OCC), the Materials Control desk is a 24/7 operation ensuring continuous support for aircraft maintenance and logistics. The role follows a rotating shift pattern consisting of both 12-hour day and night shifts.
What you\’ll do:
As an Engineering Materials Controller you\’ll be responsible for planning, sourcing and ensuring time driven delivery of all material requirements for operational aircraft defects, unscheduled maintenance requirements, and fully scoped maintenance inputs as well as other ad-hoc BA Cityflyer requirements.
Responsibilities include attending daily engineering meetings and reporting any issues that may impact the day. Planning logistically the most effective and economical routes for shipping to ensure all material requirements are adhered to.
You\’ll work closely with suppliers to ensure excellent and consistent performances are being met through fully defined contracts, with robust adherence to the supplier management process.

- Experience in the use of inventory tools such as MRO systems
- Experience of working to departmental budgets
- Previous experience of working within an Airline / Engineering is an advantage
- 24/7 operational support exposure also desirable
