For BA Cityflyer Captains, the customer always comes first. Your goal will be to provide the very best flight experience bringing our business and leisure customers into the heart of London. As the leading airline at London City, we fly into a variety of destinations throughout Europe and the UK. You'll be expected to work flexibly within a tight knit team to deliver our dynamic seven-day-a-week operation. Operating business, charter and leisure flights on a varied roster including day trips, night stops and tours. Operating the Embraer 190 primarily from London City Airport, with its high value and sophisticated customer base, we fly in and out of one of the world's most challenging operating environments. Therefore, our pilots are required to maintain the highest professional standards. The drive to provide industry defining standards of customer service in a demanding yet exciting environment is the aspiration we look for in our high calibre pilots.

The minimum criteria to apply are:

  • Currently operating as a Captain is desirable.
  • Current UK CAA Part-FCL licence ATPL (A) or ability to convert to a UK licence using CAA EASA transfer process route 5 or 6.
  • A current type rating with a minimum of 4000 hours total hours to include 1500 hours as PIC of a commercial jet/turbo prop multi crew aircraft. The 1500 hours will not include any PICUS hours.
  • A current UK issued ATPL (A).
  • ICAO English language proficiency level 6.
  • Valid ME Instrument rating.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical (valid for 6 months after date of joining).
  • E-Jet type rating desirable but not essential.

Supporting Files: Please add a copy of your licence and last 3 pages of your logbook to the supporting files section before submitting your application. Hours and ratings will be checked during screening and at assessment. Please read the job description for the full criteria.

Please note: Candidates who were not successful at initial screening, video interview, capacity testing or assessment centre stage can now reapply for the pilot recruitment campaign after 6 months from their most recent assessment date.
