About The Role
The Holidays business has an ambitious growth strategy across market, product, customer and tech. The Product Lead (pre‑booking experience) role will lead a product team to build and develop all customer journeys and capabilities from the inspiration and discovery stage, through to a booking being made, including the end‑to‑end selling journey. Reporting to the Head of Digital Experience, this role will have accountability for developing our pre‑booking strategy and delivering a brilliant customer experience consistent with the broader British Airways Holidays strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Set the vision, strategy and goals for pre‑booking, ensuring these are informed by business strategy, customer research and analytics.
- Lead a multi‑disciplinary product team, including Associate Product Owners, a QA Engineer, Business Analysts and a Tech Lead, as well as contract roles including engineering and design.
- Set the roadmap, ensuring solution design and decision making in your area is informed by business priorities, customer research/data and the efficient and effective use of technologies.
- Accountable for delivery within your area, including liaising with central Tech to ensure we have the right resourcing and solution design, and coaching the team to build iteratively using agile methodologies.
- Accountable for a high quality customer experience for pre‑booking.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders including within BA Holidays, IAGL and OpCos to inform decision making and communicate transparently around product priorities and progress.
- Oversee the budget for your area, ensuring investment level is appropriate and spend is efficient and meets budgets.
- Manage the performance and ongoing optimisation of your live product, monitoring performance across customer, commercial, delivery and quality metrics.
What You’ll Bring
- An experienced product and people leader with proven ability to lead agile product teams to meet business and product goals.
- Strong communicator able to build trusted relationships and influence across colleagues, peers, partners and suppliers.
- A strategic thinker, with a passion for building brilliant customer experiences.
- An understanding of where pre‑booking fits in the broader strategy, using this to inform decision making.
- An agile mindset and comfort with ambiguity and change is a must.
- Experience managing multi‑million pound investment budgets.
Why You’ll Love It
- You’re excited to build from the ground up – you’ll shape new products, processes and ways of working from scratch within a household‑recognised brand reinventing itself for the future.
- You thrive in small, high‑performing teams – join a team that genuinely supports each other’s success, where collaboration is real and everyone’s contribution matters.
- You love fast pace and continuous learning – we value progress over perfection. If you enjoy seeing ideas turn into action quickly, you’ll feel right at home.
- You love taking ownership end‑to‑end – this is a true builder’s role. From ideation to delivery and review, you’ll own your space — and see the impact of your work.
