The British Aerosol Manufacturers' Association (BAMA) represents companies across the aerosol industry, from ingredient suppliers to fillers, manufacturers, marketers, and experts in material recovery. BAMA provides business support, technical advice, and training on aerosol technology while representing industry perspectives to legislators and regulators. The association plays a pivotal role in shaping and influencing industry standards and international guidelines for aerosol production, storage, and transport. With a strong focus on environmental sustainability, BAMA actively engages with advisory bodies and creates expert liaison groups on packaging, formulation, and more.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead on engagement with the UK Government and key stakeholders on aerosol-specific and associated regulations
  • Represent BAMA on UK and international panels, including those focused on GHS, transport, and environmental issues
  • Drive BAMA’s input into work on EU and UN regulations, ensuring our members’ interests
  • Monitor global regulatory developments and develop guides to support member companies’ growth in export markets.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs
  • A background in, or knowledge of the aerosol industry
  • Knowledge of how Government operates and lobbying
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to translate regulations into actionable guidance
  • Experience in training delivery and technical support.

If you have regulatory experience at a Trade Association, in the FMCG sector, or have been involved in shaping regulations in another capacity, along with a minimum of 5 to 10 years+ in the trade association world, manufacturing sector, or the consumer goods industry, we would love to speak to you.
