About the British Acupuncture Council
The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) is the leading professional body for acupuncturists in the UK, dedicated to promoting the practice of acupuncture and ensuring high standards of care. Established in 1995, the BAcC represents over 3,000 members who are committed to providing safe and effective acupuncture treatments.
Our mission is to advance the understanding and practice of acupuncture through education, research, and advocacy. We strive to ensure that acupuncture is recognized as a valuable healthcare option within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and beyond.
The BAcC provides a range of services to its members, including:
- Comprehensive training and continuing professional development opportunities.
- Access to the latest research and evidence-based practices in acupuncture.
- Support and guidance on professional issues and ethical practice.
- Networking opportunities with other professionals in the field.
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of practice and ethics among our members. All BAcC practitioners are required to adhere to a strict code of conduct and are fully insured, ensuring that clients receive safe and professional care.
In addition to supporting our members, the BAcC actively engages with the public to raise awareness about the benefits of acupuncture. We provide resources and information to help individuals make informed decisions about their health and wellness.
Through our efforts, we aim to foster a greater understanding of acupuncture as a holistic approach to health, addressing not just physical symptoms but also emotional and mental well-being.
Join us in our mission to promote acupuncture as a respected and effective form of healthcare in the UK.
