Knowledge and Market Intelligence Associate in London

Briter is a leading business intelligence and research company focused on emerging markets across Africa, Latin America and Asia. We work with investors, DFIs, corporates and governments to map capital, companies and ecosystems. We are hiring an experienced Knowledge and Market Intelligence Associate to own the quality, depth, and coherence of Briter’s research, presentations, newsletters, and publications.

The role works closely with Briter’s Marketing & Communications team, and you will lead the intellectual production of Briter’s research outputs. This means turning data, insights, and context into rigorous, clear, and credible analysis and publications.

This position will focus on generating insights that will then be communicated across a range of formats, from presentations developed for ecosystem engagements to publications and reports, as well as articles and newsletters. While Briter’s work has largely focused on Africa, this role will involve producing insights that extend to other emerging markets in Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

You will:

• Find and analyse insights from existing frameworks and datasets
• Lead and produce high-quality written analysis across reports, studies and articles
• Translate key insights into bite-sized takeaways for content consumption on Briter’s communication channels
• Coordinate key findings and insights across different channels
• Work with large datasets and Excel to validate and interpret findings
• Collect primary insights through interviews and ecosystem engagement
• Manage insights across different regions
• Act as a senior analytical reference point for the team
• Act as a “brand ambassador” for Briter and represent the company at certain industry events, including public speaking
• Contribute to the knowledge management of the company’s content-based outputs
• Provide editorial support and review across the team

You must:

• Be an exceptional storyteller and writer of analytical content. This role requires real writing skills, not AI-generated
• Be conversant with Briter’s work and research
• Be highly organised and have impeccable time management skills
• Be highly comfortable with Excel, data, and quantitative analysis
• Understand investment, finance and emerging-market ecosystems
• Have a minimum of 6 years of work experience in a relevant field/role
• Be able to work independently, while also collaborating across teams.
• Be comfortable with public speaking

Preferably, you also:

• Have a strong understanding and interest in the innovation and investment landscape lingo and key trends.
• Have experience working with or around startups, investors, DFIs, policy or corporate strategy in emerging markets
• Be internationally experienced and well-travelled
• Be multilingual, or comfortable working across languages and cultures
