We combine proprietary data, research and sector expertise to help investors, governments, development finance institutions, foundations and corporates understand innovation ecosystems across Africa, Latin America, Southeast Asia, South Asia and beyond.

Alongside our research and advisory work, Briter Intelligence is our growing intelligence platform, bringing together data on thousands of companies, investors, funds, transactions and ecosystem organisations.

As our platform grows, so does the number of conversations we have every day.

We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with people, keeping opportunities moving, and making sure nobody falls through the cracks.

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Growth & Business Development Manager to help manage Briter’s growth initiatives, coordinate business development activity across the company and ensure opportunities move from ideas and conversations into action.

The role

The Growth & Business Development Manager will sit at the centre of Briter’s growth activities, working across the management team and wider business to help identify opportunities, coordinate commercial operations and manage priority growth initiatives.

Briter’s leadership and management team bring different relationships, sector expertise and routes to market.

Your role will be to help turn these distributed efforts into a coordinated growth capability, ensuring opportunities are tracked, relationships are followed up, proposals move forward, and priority growth initiatives are translated into clear plans, actions and results.

You will work closely with the Founder and management team, while coordinating inputs from Research, Data, Product, Marketing and other teams where needed.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to a fast‑moving environment, coordinating across teams, managing multiple initiatives and making sure that good ideas and opportunities turn into concrete progress.

  • Help the management team identify, develop and progress new opportunities across potential projects, engagements, and events.
  • Research prospective clients, partners and target organisations.
  • Coordinate outreach, introductions, meetings and follow‑ups.
  • Ensure priority relationships and opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
  • Re‑engage relevant dormant opportunities and relationships.
  • Help maintain a clear view of active opportunities across the company.
  • Manage pipeline and proposals
  • Maintain Briter’s CRM and business development pipeline.
  • Keep contacts, organisations, opportunities and next steps up to date.
  • Coordinate proposals, concept notes and commercial materials.
  • Bring together inputs from relevant teams and subject‑matter experts.

  • Respond to enquiries from potential clients and partners and make sure they are connected to the right person at Briter.
  • Coordinate introductory meetings, platform demonstrations and follow‑ups.
  • Help prepare background notes, presentations and materials for important meetings.
  • Follow up with relevant report downloaders, event participants, platform users and other leads.
  • Gather feedback from clients and prospects and share relevant insights internally.
  • Outreach and demos
  • Direct outreach to founders, investors, and ESOs listed on the platform to share and verify profiles on Briter’s platforms
  • Conduct demos with users for the different personas and manage the onboarding process from start to finish.
  • Ensure the CRM is updated with the latest engagements and feedback from users.
  • Communicate and escalate any feedback to the product and growth team.
  • We’re looking for someone who
  • Is exceptionally organised and enjoys bringing structure to busy workflows.
  • Is proactive and follows through without needing constant direction.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is commercially minded and enjoys building professional relationships.
  • Can coordinate across senior colleagues and different teams.
  • Is comfortable managing multiple initiatives, conversations and deadlines at once.
  • Has strong attention to detail.
  • Learns new tools and systems quickly.

  • Experience working in venture capital, development finance or international development.

You’ll work directly with the Founder and collaborate across every part of the business, from product and research to marketing and commercial strategy.
