The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.

4+ years of UX/UI design experience with mobile apps and complex B2B web applications (enterprise platforms or operational tools). Exceptional mobile design skills, with a portfolio that proves the ability to ship beautiful, thoughtful mobile products. Understanding of platform-specific patterns for iOS and Android at a deep level: navigation paradigms, gesture vocabularies, motion principles, safe areas, and the subtle differences that make an app feel truly native on each platform.

A strong eye for beauty, proportion, and detail. Noticing misalignments, off colour values, and spacing issues, with a commitment to fixing them. Demonstrated ownership of art direction in past roles, shaping brand guidelines rather than just following them.

Fluent English at C1 level or above, ideally backed by a recognised certificate or sustained professional collaboration with English-speaking clients and teams over multiple years. Deep knowledge of design systems, contributing to or co-owning component libraries, tokens, and documentation.

Figma expert: auto layout, prototyping, variables, components, wireframing, and developer handoff. Hands-on familiarity with the latest generation of AI-powered design tools, including Figma Make, UX Pilot, and Relume, with a genuine curiosity to adopt new tools as they emerge.

Proficiency in design prompting within LLMs, particularly Claude, knowing how to write effective prompts for generating copy, exploring concepts, structuring information architecture, and iterating on design decisions. Comfortable working with AI agents as collaborative tools, understanding how to delegate tasks, review outputs, and integrate agent-assisted workflows into daily practice.

Strong user-centred design foundation: research methods, standard UCD processes, and translating insights into intuitive experiences. Systems thinking combined with pixel-level craft, able to zoom out to see a project's larger ecosystem and zoom in to obsess over details that make an interface feel considered and alive.

Excellent communication skills: async collaboration, storytelling, presenting design rationale clearly and persuasively. Self-driven, self-correcting, and results-oriented, thriving in a fast-paced environment.

BA degree in Visual Communication or equivalent. Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and staying current with design trends. Understanding of WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility standards. Experience working in a startup environment. Proficiency in animation and motion design (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Apple Motion, Blender).

Lead end-to-end UX design for consumer-facing EV driver apps (iOS, Android), responsive web, and complex B2B web platform experiences, with mobile as the primary canvas. Own art direction across product surfaces, establishing and guarding visual quality, consistency, and brand expression at every level of the experience.

Set the bar for mobile craft: transitions, micro-interactions, gesture patterns, typography at small scale, and the kind of tactile polish that makes an app feel native and effortless. Design intuitive experiences across both domains: driver apps (charger discovery, session management, payment flows) and B2B platform for charging operators.

Design and refine the product's UX & UI, visual language, and interaction patterns, ensuring seamless, beautiful, and engaging user experiences with relentless attention to detail. Collaborate with product managers on user scenarios, stories, and priorities while maintaining exceptionally high standards for design craft.

Co-own and evolve the mobile layer of the design system, defining patterns, components, and guidelines that reflect a deep understanding of iOS and Android platform conventions. Create visual, production-ready design components as part of working within an emerging design system.

Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product, providing guidance as designs are built and flagging visual inconsistencies others might miss. Prototype solutions at various levels of fidelity, from quick sketches and wireframes to high-fidelity interactive prototypes.

Leverage AI-native design tools (Figma Make, UX Pilot, Relume) and LLM-based workflows to accelerate ideation, content generation, and design iteration. Use design prompting techniques in LLMs (with emphasis on Claude) to draft copy, explore layout variants, generate user flows, and support research synthesis.

Collaborate with and orchestrate AI agents as part of the design workflow, treating them as force multipliers for research, documentation, and production tasks. Iterate on designs based on user feedback, testing results, and post-launch insights. Advocate for accessibility, encouraging product and engineering teams to prioritise accessible features and standards.
