Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools

About the Role
Brite Education is currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Derbyshire. We work closely with a range of welcoming schools requiring day-to-day, short-term, and ongoing cover.
This opportunity is ideal for:
- Experienced Cover Supervisors
- Graduates considering teacher training
- Teaching Assistants or HLTA looking to step up
- Unqualified Teachers with classroom experience
You will deliver pre-set lesson plans, maintain classroom behaviour, and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across multiple subjects
- Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour confidently and professionally
- Support students in completing assigned work
- Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
Requirements
- Minimum 3 monthsβ experience in a UK secondary school setting
- Confidence managing a classroom independently
- Availability for at least 3 days per week
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
