Location: Derbyshire (Chesterfield, Ilkeston, Long Eaton, Swadlincote, Ripley, Belper, Alfreton, Matlock and surrounding areas)

Salary: £95 – £120 per day (PAYE or Umbrella options available)

Start Date: ASAP

Working Hours: 08:15 - 15:30 (Term Time Only)

Flexible Working: Full-time or Part-time

About the Role

Brite Education is currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Derbyshire. We work closely with a range of welcoming schools requiring day-to-day, short-term, and ongoing cover.

This opportunity is ideal for:

  • Experienced Cover Supervisors
  • Graduates considering teacher training
  • Teaching Assistants or HLTA looking to step up
  • Unqualified Teachers with classroom experience

You will deliver pre-set lesson plans, maintain classroom behaviour, and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across multiple subjects
  • Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour confidently and professionally
  • Support students in completing assigned work
  • Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months’ experience in a UK secondary school setting
  • Confidence managing a classroom independently
  • Availability for at least 3 days per week
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
