Role Overview

The Document Controller will assist with the efficient management, governance, and administration of project information throughout the business, reporting directly to management. The role sits at the heart of project delivery, ensuring that all project documentation is accurate, current, accessible, and compliant with company and contractual requirements. In addition to assisting in managing the company’s project management software and Microsoft SharePoint environment, the role provides essential general administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business. As a Document Controller, you will support the team in maintaining effective cost control and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain project documentation using project management systems and SharePoint
  • Assist in setting up and controlling project folders, workflows, permissions, and document registers
  • Assist in issuing, receiving, revising, and archiving drawings and technical documents
  • Ensure documents are accurately named, version-controlled, approved, and distributed
  • Act as a point of contact for document control systems, supporting project teams and consultants
  • Support audits and compliance by maintaining clear and traceable records
  • Provide general administrative support, including assisting in meeting coordination, correspondence, and office administration
