Job Purpose

The Team Assistant will primarily provide comprehensive administrative support to the SVP Group Editorial And Content, ensuring the smooth operation of their day-to-day responsibilities, including oversight of processes within the broader Programming department. This role supports the strategic and creative objectives of the Programming department, which is responsible for identifying, developing and greenlighting original content for BritBox International. The role will also, at times, provide broader support in the London office.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, and passionate about the media industry, with a strong ability to manage complex schedules, facilitate communication with internal and external stakeholders, and run end-to-end processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the SVP Group Editorial And Content’s complex and dynamic calendar, scheduling meetings with internal teams and external partners. This includes setting up some meetings for the wider commissioning team.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings, including virtual and in-person setups, travel arrangements and venue bookings.
  • Log all content submissions that come into BritBox, tracking responses/actions against each submission, and ensuring that follow ups happen in a timely and prioritised manner.
  • Coordinate the Project Evaluation and Greenlight processes, ensuring that there is a map and timeframe for all projects going through the process, that supporting materials are completed and submitted in a timely manner, and that there is coordination of all stakeholders ahead of the key steps.
  • Prepare and organise materials for meetings, including agendas, actions, pitch decks, and other material.
  • Take detailed notes during key meetings and strategy sessions, summarising key points and action items.
  • Manage expense reports, invoices, and budget tracking related to the SVP Group Editorial And Content’s activities.
  • Provide broader administrative support for the London office where needed, including organising company-hosted events, screenings, or team meetings.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Relevant experience in the film/tv/streaming industry
  • Experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, creative environment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with television commissioning processes is a plus.
  • Highly organised with a strong process-driven approach.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach to a dynamic environment
  • Passion for streaming media and British programming
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills along with a willingness to collaborate.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Growth mindset
  • Self-starter with ability to use own initiative and judgement.
  • Knowledge of and passion for British TV & film programming is a plus.
  • Track record of building systems and processes to manage workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate administration systems.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours to accommodate international colleagues.
  • Fluency with AirTable, Microsoft Office & AI applications
