Britannia Row Productions is a world class audio rental company providing innovative and high-end audio equipment, skilled audio engineers and technicians for global music tours and events. Now part of the US-based Clair Global group of companies, our business and impressive client list is growing. We are looking for a Warehouse Technician to work in our RF & Mics Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual who is interested in developing a career in the audio industry and has a passion for RF and Mics.
As a Junior Warehouse Technician, you will be involved in all aspects of the running of the RF & Mics Department, including managing, testing and maintaining our equipment. Britannia Row stocks the latest RF equipment from Shure, Sennheiser and Wisycom, including both digital and analogue systems. You will need to develop a good understanding and knowledge of our equipment and the needs of both local and worldwide clients. Every project is different, and you’ll be working with a brilliant team who specialise in making things happen, from concept to delivery. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will assist in the preparation and de-preparation of equipment and ensure the smooth running of the department within the warehouse. Everything we do is time-critical, so the ability to work efficiently and sometimes for extended hours is essential whilst maintaining very high standards.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Bench test RF equipment using spectrum analysers and RF generators, including testing of cables.
- Ensure equipment is fully functional and on the latest firmware.
- Liaise with freelance engineers to ensure the equipment has the correct settings and frequencies.
- Range checking of all RF equipment before leaving the shop.
- Help organise the RF & Mics department ensuring equipment is ready to be deployed and company processes are followed.
- Ensure equipment is delivered within timelines and with appropriate packaging and documentation.
- Ensure that the equipment prepared for supply matches the equipment listed on the job specification with 100% accuracy.
- Confirm that returning equipment is checked-in and matches the equipment that went out, with 100% accuracy.
- Store equipment in the correct place.
- Report to the head of department any anomalies, lost or damaged equipment.
- Follow through with immediacy on all late returns and shortages.
- Responsible for preparing, testing, cleaning and quality control for equipment.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Preparing and de-prepping microphone stands prior to dispatch, inventory management and handling late returns of mic stands.
- Maintain an open dialogue within the department and with other departmental staff to facilitate performance, processes and productivity.
- Ensure RF, Mic & Mic stands preparation areas are maintained in a clean, organised and tidy condition.
- Comply with Health and safety regulations at all times.
- Check all equipment requiring PAT testing is up to date in the department.
- Provide cover as a departmental representative when necessary.

- A general understanding of audio equipment, RF equipment, microphones and mic stands.
- Some hands-on experience of working with audio systems.
- You will need to be reliable, and possess a logical and systematic approach to work whilst meeting strict deadlines.
- The ability to work efficiently and sometimes for extended hours is essential whilst maintaining very high standards.
- You will have a keen interest in gaining experience in the technical and operational side of the professional audio industry.
- We are looking for someone with drive and ambition, with technical skills and a “can do attitude”.
- You must be highly organised, a great communicator and able to swiftly build strong working relationships.
- We want a team player with sharp attention to detail and accuracy, who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Training in both RF and Mics will be provided to help cover departmental needs.

Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Standard working hours are 35 hours per week, 10am to 6pm, five out of seven days, Monday to Sunday with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. You may be required to work a reasonable amount of paid overtime.
