  • Provide first line HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures and employment law
  • Advise and manage employee relation cases – support managers to ensure correct procedures are followed in carrying out performance improvement plans, grievances, sickness absence management and disciplinary hearings and investigations.
  • Conduct welfare meetings
  • Take notes at meetings as and when required
  • Seek specialist employment law advice when necessary
  • Update and maintain ER tracker
  • HR Systems & Processes
  • Support with the ongoing development, integration and data input and maintenance of the HR System – Cezanne HR
  • Create ad hoc reports, and provide management information and reports as required
  • Contribute to developing and establishing new processes
  • General
  • Support the HR Administrator with responding to HR queries
  • Coach managers on best practices and processes
  • Organise, schedule and participate in key HR meetings
  • Participate in HR projects and activities and any other administrative duties as may be required
  • Responsible for employee benefits management & administration
  • Support with development and delivery of training activities for all levels
  • One half day per every 3 weeks – based in the Chessington Office
  • What We’re Looking For
  • CIPD Level 5 or degree / relevant qualification
  • Prior experience working within a HR team
  • Highly computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience using HR software - knowledge of Cezanne HR desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships quickly
  • Flexible and professional approach

We have an exciting opportunity to join a small and busy HR team based in our facility located in Brooklands, Weybridge.

The HR Advisor will provide comprehensive guidance and support to heads of department and managers, in all aspects of people management, from recruitment and training, employee engagement and wellbeing to managing employee relations cases.

You will also support the Head of HR team on some exciting projects over the coming year, including the ongoing implementation of a new HR System – Cezanne HR and employee engagement activities.

What will you do?

  • Recruitment
  • Manage all aspects of the recruitment process, candidate attraction, recruitment and selection
  • Gain approval of Head of HR for recruitment for specified positions. Support with Seasonals and Apprentices recruitment
  • Collaborate with recruiting Manager to understand hiring needs
  • Collaborate with recruiting Manager to understand hiring needs Conduct initial screening of candidates to shortlist for managers
  • Collaborate with line manager regarding selection of applicants for interview
  • Liaise and brief with recruitment agencies
  • Attend first interviews and assist in creating consistent and fair interviews
  • Clarify salary band with Head of HR
  • Support Diversity, Equity and inclusion in recruitment

  • Ensure new hires have a structured introduction to the company, policies and culture

  • Support and advise line managers on probationary reviews, performance reviews. Capability processes and informal/formal meetings, professional development plans
  • Track end of probation and liaise with line manager where probation is extended or unsuccessful
