We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Roaming Medical Counter Pharmacy Assistant to support operations across multiple pharmacy locations. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone adaptable, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. You will work across different branches as required, assisting with over-the-counter (OTC) sales, customer queries, and general pharmacy support duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with over-the-counter medication requests and provide appropriate advice within competency limits
- Support pharmacists in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy
- Handle sales transactions and operate the till accurately
- Restock shelves and ensure products are well-presented and in date
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment
- Travel between pharmacy locations as required
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with stock control and inventory management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple locations
- Good understanding of OTC medicines (training will be provided)
- Basic IT and numeracy skills
- A proactive and team-oriented attitude
- Willingness to travel regularly
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
- Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) certification
- Full UK driving licence (if travel between branches is required)
