We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Roaming Medical Counter Pharmacy Assistant to support operations across multiple pharmacy locations. This is a dynamic role ideal for someone adaptable, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent patient care. You will work across different branches as required, assisting with over-the-counter (OTC) sales, customer queries, and general pharmacy support duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with over-the-counter medication requests and provide appropriate advice within competency limits
  • Support pharmacists in the day-to-day running of the pharmacy
  • Handle sales transactions and operate the till accurately
  • Restock shelves and ensure products are well-presented and in date
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy environment
  • Travel between pharmacy locations as required
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Assist with stock control and inventory management

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare environment preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple locations
  • Good understanding of OTC medicines (training will be provided)
  • Basic IT and numeracy skills
  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to travel regularly

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
  • Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) certification
  • Full UK driving licence (if travel between branches is required)
