The predicted salary is between 1063 - 1289 £ per month.

As a Medical Counter Assistant, you will be a warm and friendly face for customers and patients who visit the pharmacy for their health needs including medication, consultations and advice. You must be a confident, hardworking, and a motivated team player with a keen interest in helping others. Previous experience in pharmacy preferred, however we will consider enthusiastic applicants with retail or medical background. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Receive prescriptions from patients in accordance to “Prescription Interception Procedure”
  • Order and sort Repeat Prescriptions
  • Visit local GP surgeries to pick up prescriptions or follow up queries
  • Deal with customer queries and refer to pharmacist where appropriate
  • Sell Over the Counter Medicines to patients
  • Give appropriate healthcare advice
  • Provide excellent Customer Service face to face and over the telephone
  • Order and Receive Goods from suppliers in accordance to company protocol
  • Promote products in a professional and ethical manner
  • Advise patients of clinical services provided in the pharmacy
  • Signpost to other healthcare services where relevant
  • General Housekeeping – ensuring the pharmacy is clean and tidy
